Bring Blob Party to your next gathering or D&D Game!
“Blob Party” is a quick and easy board game perfect for small groups. You need at least four people to play, but the more, the merrier! The concept of the game is to think like your fellow players to form alliances. Cards are revealed with a topic, and you then write what you think on a whiteboard. The trick is to match your answer with others to become a part of a larger group. When two or more players write the same answer, they join together as a “blob” and strategize together. The goal is to unite all players into a single blob within seven rounds.

It’s not just metaphorical – each player starts with a small blob of dough and a googly eye. As you match with more and more players, you merge blobs, growing larger and adding more googly eyes!”
“Blob Party” is an excellent team-building game. It can help friends think alike, or even reveal how they approach questions, providing insight into their personalities. An exciting twist is to create custom cards with a Dungeons & Dragons theme and incorporate the game as an in-game event.
There are numerous mind-affecting monsters or spellcasters in D&D that could be utilized for this purpose. Unifying the party’s minds could be the only way to counter the effects of an evil creature. Since the game can be played in 15 minutes or less, you could even use the turn mechanic, giving players seven rounds to join forces and move into position to thwart the plans of the big bad evil guy/girl.
As a standalone game, “Blob Party” is easy to play and affordably priced, making it a fantastic ice-breaker or a game for multiple playthroughs in one evening. If you win the cooperative game on your first attempt, play again to see how quickly you can unite. In my first game, it took us six rounds, but only three to bring a party of four together.
The game includes a blob of dough that players can literally shape and merge as they team up after giving similar answers. Each starting blob gets a googly eye to make it unique. Feel free to get creative with your blob before joining the larger group.
